Stay Emotionally Healthy This Quarantine - Sarnali Chakraborty
Homebound
24*7 can be really tricky and boring for students. No school, no play, only
staying inside the four walls can be emotionally stressful as well. Especially
the fear and anxiety surrounding the disease can lead to strong emotional
changes in both the parents as well as the students. So below are few ways to
stay emotionally happy and healthy this lockdown.
1. TAKE A BREAK FROM EVERYTHING
Too much of
anything is not good. Similar is the situation with our life now. With the
pandemic outbreak increasing day by day, we have become glued to our TV sets or
even our smart phones. Keeping a tab on the news constantly can be upsetting.
So, take breaks from watching news or listening to stories related to news. Just
sit and relax. Give yourself time.
2. PLAYTIME WITH YOUR FAMILY
Believe me
Quarantine has come with its own pros and cons. And one of them is it is
allowing us to spend quality time with our family as well as with ourselves.
Play interactive games. Not problems if you don’t have UNO, or Monopoly, play
anything you want. Just sit and have a round of good gossip in case you don’t
have anything to play.
3. STAY HEALTHY
Amidst
everything it is really important to keep yourself healthy. Drink water, eat
healthy, and eat on time. Staying healthy is not always costly; consume things
present in your home. Eat your breakfast, lunch, and dinner on time. Sleep on time;
give your life a good start.
4. SPEND SOME GOOD "ME" TIME
Spend good
amount of time with yourself. Not necessary you have to involve yourself in
doing things your friends are doing. Involve yourself in things you love to do.
Understand what you love doing. It can be anything from cooking to reading to
playing, spend your own time in your style.
5. CLEANLINESS IS MUST
Keep your
surroundings clean. From your bed to your work desk, clean it every day. Keep
things organized so that you don’t need to look for it everywhere. As it is we
are homebound, and in this situation if we need to look for every little
things, it can be too much irritating.
